Abco Kovex open their doors to our membership

Members of The Irish Packaging Society were treated to a visit to Abco Kovex in October to see their newly established Distribution Packaging Test Centre. The test centre is an excellent facility allowing any of Abco Kovex’s current and prospective customers to put their packaging through tests to prove its effectiveness. We also got to see displays of packaging equipment, sustainable packaging solutions and a taste of what’s up and coming in the sector. Thanks to Kevin Crothers and the team for hosting us

In addition, we were given some excellent case studies on packaging testing by Tony Duffy (recently retired  from CAFRE) and Orla O’Donnell of Resonate Testing. Some fascinating examples of challenging packaging testing being undertaken here and a great educational grounding on the subject. We never leave a TIPS event without learning something new.

It was great to hear from our hosts and the attendees of the efforts being taken to ensure sustainability in our sector. Great networking to be had at these events so keep checking our social media and website for upcoming events and information.
